Vitali Bubnovich from Belarus won Gold in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event at the first ever European Games held in Baku, Azerbaijan in June. Using his Walther LG400 Alutec air rifle, the three-time Olympian won with his very last shot.
“I qualified in fifth for the finals, and then in the finals I knew I could prove myself. I will never forget that last shot which made me a champion. To be honest, getting the bronze at the world championship was a big thing and it was unforgettable for me, but I will never forget the 16th June either.” said Bubnovich (pictured in between Silver Medallist Niccolo Campriani, left, and Bronze medallist Sergey Richter, right).
Damir Mikec from Serbia also won Gold in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol event using his Walther LP300 air pistol, and Henri Junghänel from Germany won Gold in the Men’s 50m KK Prone rifle event using his Walther KK300 Alutec.

Sarah Hornung from Switzerland won Silver in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle event using her Walther LG400 Alutec.
Sergey Richter from Israel won Bronze in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event using his Walther LG300XT Alutec
